Post Game Report
VfL played a
very good game against Dortmund a week ago - and finally won a point. Or did
they lost two ?
VfL also played a good game in Freiburg last Tuesday - and
finally won a point. Or did they lost two ?
This weekend VfL played a
good first half and a disappointing second one - but they won three points. Who
finally cares that the second half had been boring and was no big fun to watch?
All that counts is that they finally won their first game this year.
It's a matter of fact that our team could have done better. They could
have scored a few more. They could have dominated the game in second half as
they did in first one. But so finally it is just Robson Ponte who made the
headlines. He scored twice for Wolfsburg to earn our team a 2-1 win.
That's why he is mentioned in the Top-Team of German TV soccer magazin
RAN (see
http://www.sport1.de).
After the injury of Tomislav Maric a discussion about who should play
instead is all around. Wolfgang Wolf still prefers Klimovicz. Klimo played his
first game over 90 minutes - and scored a goal which unfortunately had been
annulated by the ref. A lot of fans would like to see Juskowiak instead - and
Jusko himself gets more and more angry because his chances for a World Cup
nomination seem to slip away. I guess this place in the team will be discussed
until the next game too...

been cleared to lead his side in Sunday's African Nations Cup final against
Senegal after a controversial touchline ban was lifted. Cameroon retained the
African Nations Cup after a dramatic penalty shoot-out in Bamako on Sunday. The
holders deserved their triumph but underdogs Senegal offered magnificent
resistance in an enthralling clash. --- stop --- Schalke
